We collect information you provide directly and information generated through use of the Service:
- Account information: Name, email, phone number, organization details, and credentials.
- GPS location: Precise location data from field agents during active canvassing shifts, used to verify door contacts and support safety features.
- Identity verification: Information submitted for background checks processed by Checkr, including name, date of birth, and government-issued ID where required.
- Payment information: Billing details processed by Stripe. Knock AI does not store full payment card numbers.
- Campaign data: Voter contact information, addresses, survey responses, and related records uploaded by campaign customers.
- Device and usage data: IP address, device type, app version, log data, and analytics events.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Verify door contacts and process agent payouts
- Conduct identity and background checks through authorized vendors
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Communicate about accounts, opportunities, and platform updates
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
- Generate aggregated, de-identified analytics
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers: Vendors such as Stripe (payments), Checkr (background checks), and cloud infrastructure providers, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Campaign customers: Door contact results and survey data from agents working on a customer's campaign.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with legal requirements. Campaign data retention follows customer account settings and applicable law. Location data from completed shifts may be retained in aggregated form for verification records.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents may request disclosure, deletion, and correction of personal information, and may opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (Knock AI does not sell personal information).
- EEA/UK (GDPR): Where GDPR applies, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. See our Data Security page for details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
